Camp Herms

Welcome graphic

There is a History of Camp Herms by Victor Lindblad.
A notable contributor was Irving Waterbury, Camp Ranger for years.
Hank Abraham and George Fosselius, Wolfeboro Pioneers, are editing the history for readability.

But, history is being rewritten even now; as the Mt Diablo Silverado visioning committee thrashes out the master plan for the future, council employees are cleaning out buildings for demolition and removing all the 64 year-old monterey pines, with no plans in place to replace them.

On this page, I'll show pictures of current views of the camp. I wish you would tell me your story of scouting at Camp Herms and attach a picture or two.
I'll post the history volume one, from 1929-1956, soon. Help me write volume two.
